On this episode, Linda and Dana talk about how you decide whether you should hire someone to help or do certain work yourself. Linda shares about her experience redoing her closet as an example of having to make that kind of decision. After she decided she wanted to redo her closet so that it could be organized in a new way, she got a quote from a company that came back over $40,000 and she decided that learning how to do the renovation herself was something she was interested in doing. She discusses how learning about construction was super beneficial for her because it can also translate to helping with some of the rental properties she and Jimmy renovate before they rent them out. From another angle, Dana shares how a top producer was resistant to hiring an admin, but that his business almost doubled when he did, and a year later, his biggest goal is hiring a second admin. In his case, hiring out admin work was the right call to increases his business. Linda and Dana both share how they think about situations when they are deciding whether they should hire help or attack the project themselves.
